At St Mary’s, our curriculum is rooted in our Christian faith and shaped by the belief that every child is “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). We are committed to investing in the uniqueness of every individual, nurturing the whole child academically, spiritually, morally, socially and emotionally.
Guided by our school values of Love, Hope and Trust, we provide a rich, ambitious and inclusive curriculum that enables all pupils to flourish. Our curriculum promotes Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Justice (EDIJ), ensuring that every child feels valued, included and supported to succeed.
Spirituality runs as a golden thread through all learning. Using the Mirrors, Windows and Doors approach, children are encouraged to:
- Reflect on who they are and what they believe
- Understand and appreciate the lives and perspectives of others
- Be inspired to act with kindness, courage and responsibility
Our curriculum is carefully sequenced from EYFS to Year 6, building knowledge, skills and vocabulary progressively. High-quality teaching, inclusive practice and strong wellbeing support ensure that learning is accessible and meaningful for all pupils.
By the time children leave St Mary’s, they are confident, compassionate learners who achieve well, value diversity, act justly and are prepared to contribute positively to the world — living lives rooted in Love, shaped by Hope and built on Trust.
