Spring 2 – 2025

Header Clouds

This half-term, we will be looking at the value of forgiveness:

Wiping the Slate Clean

Forgiveness is…

Forgetting the hurts

Offering a new beginning

Restoring a friendship

Given and received

Identifying responsibility

Valuing the truth

Ending an argument

Not holding a grudge

Encourage honesty

Saying sorry

Starting again

Which line do you think describes real forgiveness? Why?

Our words of wisdom from the Bible this half-term are:

“Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive others.”

Turning Over a New Leaf

If a person is forgiven for something that they have done that is wrong, they usually want to show that they mean to behave differently in future.  Sometimes this is called ‘turning over a new leaf’.

When Jesus visited a man called Zacchaeus that’s exactly what happened:

What did Zacchaeus do to show that he had turned over a new leaf and changed?

Have you ever done this?
