Check all internal fire doors on a weekly basis to ensure that they close on their own when released, and that they form a tight seal against the door frame. There should be no holes in the doors or any large gaps above or below the doors.
Check and ensure that all intumescent strips/cold smoke seals are not damaged along the edges of the fire doors.
Check that all necessary fire exit and fire door signage is in place.
Check all final fire exit doors to ensure that they are easily opened, all opening/closing mechanisms are fully functioning, and that doors can be fully opened without obstruction. Check also that doors or exit routes are not obstructed by anything.
