St. Mary’s CE Primary is a school where children are supported in becoming confident, independent young people, who strive to take on a challenge, are not afraid to learn from their mistakes and are motivated to learn so they can flourish and be inspired with a love of learning they can take with them throughout their life.
The aims and values of our school are at the heart of everything we do and is the golden thread which runs through our school. At St Mary’s, we care for one another and invest in the uniqueness of each individual. Our Christian values of: Love, Trust and Hope are deeply rooted within us all.
I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children’s well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care. The staff, supported by our academy councillors, work tirelessly to provide an engaging, creative and challenging curriculum that nurtures everyone’s individual talents. The aim of this is to prepare children for their future education; and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to make positive contributions to the community and the wider world.
Throughout our school, the staff provide a happy, supportive and caring environment and a curriculum that excites and sparks children’s imaginations. The curriculum is delivered through a cross-curricular approach which is enhanced by whole-school themed days and other events. We aim to provide children with exciting, meaningful experiences to support their learning through trips and visits, community and global activities as well as a fantastic range of after-school clubs.
At St. Mary’s, we are a family and have a positive, successful partnership with everyone involved in our school. We grow and develop together as a whole-school community so that we can provide an all-round educational experience in which everyone can flourish together.
